Abraham Darby Academy dance show 'Bop Back to the 60s' was a spectacular successPosted: 13/07/2009
40 Children aged 3 to 19 performed the 60’s themed show at the Abraham Darby Academy in Telford, Shropshire on Saturday 11th July 2009. The dancers had been working hard rehearsing for the show for the past few months. The young Tap dancers and Ballerinas, aged 3-6, danced for the first time on a stage along with their dance instructor Megan Scollan, and showed off their talents with beaming smiles.
Principle dancers Megan Scollan and Amy Sparks, Who have been with the dance club for 7 years, performed brilliantly to Aretha Franklins ‘Respect’. The audience of 150 relatives and friends thoroughly enjoyed the music and dancing, a truly pleasant evening’s entertainment. The Boppers Dance Club will now be starting rehearsals for their next show. Rehearsals will be held on Saturday mornings at the Abraham Darby Academy and Wednesday evenings at Randlay Community Centre, school term time only.
